Yemen’s Houthis said they launched a fresh strike on Saudi Arabia’s international airport in Riyadh on Sunday, hours after the kingdom announced that flights had resumed despite repeated attacks by the Iran-backed group.
King Khalid International Airport’s website showed several domestic and international flights scheduled that day, including arrivals from Dubai, Paris and Cairo. Tracking site Flightradar24 showed that some flights departed, while most were canceled.
The renewed operations came as explosions rattled Riyadh early Sunday. Residents received a text message warning of a hostile threat targeting the city.
